今回ゲストとしてお呼びするのは、ドイツ、カールスルーエからサウンド・デザイナー／TonmeisterのSebastian Schottkeです。セバスチャンには彼が培ってきた経験や、一緒に創作をしてきた作曲家や楽曲についてお聞き出来たらと思っています。楽曲はほとんど日本では知られていないもので必聴なのと、作曲家がどうやってサウンド・デザイナーとやり取りをするのか、すべきなのか、そのようなところも勉強できる会になると思いますので、ぜひご興味ある方はご参加ください。

レクチャー概要：

このセミナーでは、音響監督／Klangregie（英語: Sound Direction）という、現代音楽における独自のインタープレテーションの形式について取り上げます。この形式は20世紀中盤に電子音響的な手段が作曲に取り入れられ、現在では多くの現代作品の演奏において不可欠な要素となっています。サウンド・ディレクターの歴史的な発展や役割、課題についての理論的な導入の後、いくつかの実践的な例を通じて、異なるアプローチや解釈の提案を共に議論します。トピックは、アクースマティックミュージック、ライブエレクトロニクスを伴うインストゥルメンタルミュージック、空間とその音響特性、そして技術的な音楽的実現などを含みます。Sebastian Schottke(サウンドディレクター／Tonmeister)

Profile:

Sebastian Schottke, born in Mecklenburg/ Germany, is an internationally sought-after sound director and Tonmeister in the field of contemporary electroacoustic music. He has performed at the Ruhrtriennale, Festival d'Avignon, Auckland Arts Festival, Edinburgh International Festival, Santiago a Mil, ICOM Kyoto, Beethovenfest Bonn, Ultima Oslo Contemporary Music Festival, Wien Modern, ECLAT, Achtbrücken and Ultraschall, among others. He works closely with Ensemble Resonanz, and also with Ensemble Modern, Ensemble Musikfabrik, Klangforum Wien, Lemi Ponifasio / MAU, Sir Simon Rattle, Ingo Metzmacher, Thomas Hengelbrock and many others. Since 2008 he works as a freelance Tonmeister for the Center for Art and Media (ZKM) in Karlsruhe, where he produces concerts and recordings with composers and musicians, often with a focus on multi-channel spatial audio. He has worked as a Tonmeister on numerous studio productions released on bastille musique, Kairos, Mode Records, Naxos, NEOS, Orlando, Shiiin, Tzadik and WERGO. Among others, Brigitta Muntendorf's "Trilogy for Two Pianos" was awarded the „Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik“ 2023. Sebastian Schottke is a lecturer at the Karlsruhe University of Music in the subject "Interpretation and Performance Practice of (Live) Electronic Music and Computer Music" and has also held seminars and workshops in Hong Kong and Athens.
